EL EVENTO QUE HABLA POR ELLA | #justyouforyouexhibition

Los días 21 y 22 de junio, el edificio Flor Wook Pack en Bangkok se transformó en una galería viva. Un colectivo de fanáticos tailandeses e internacionales —sin productoras ni estudios detrás— organizó #JustYouForYouExhibition, una exposición artística inspirada en la figura, obra y aura de Faye Peraya. Con apoyo de patrocinadores, voluntarios y una comunidad global, lograron lo impensado: unir arte contemporáneo, memoria afectiva y gratitud colectiva.

Pero lo más poderoso fue el propósito benéfico que sostuvo la iniciativa: recaudar fondos para la construcción de una biblioteca pública en el pueblo natal de Faye, en la provincia de Ubon Ratchathani. Cada entrada, cada obra vendida, cada gesto artístico, tuvo una misión: convertir el amor en legado tangible para futuras generaciones.

La dirección curatorial y creativa estuvo a cargo de Reiko Kang, productora y promotora artística especializada en redes culturales entre Japón, Corea y el Sudeste Asiático. Su visión dio forma al recorrido sensorial y emocional que permitió leer la figura de Faye a través del arte.

Sophie Khoo, reconocida gestora cultural con amplia trayectoria en proyectos de arte y género en el Sudeste Asiático, participó como colaboradora clave en la planificación y facilitadora de uno de los talleres centrales.

La organización fue 100% independiente, liderada en su mayoría por mujeres y por miembros activos del fandom internacional. Una muestra concreta del poder transformador de las comunidades afectivas.

TALLERES REALIZADOS

Durante los dos días, el público no solo asistió como espectador | participó activamente en una serie de talleres gratuitos, colaborativos y terapéuticos. Algunos destacados son

“Crea tu Zine: Faye en tu Historia” – Taller de autoedición y expresión artística.

“Colores de Khun Nueng” – Pintura libre sobre emociones contenidas.

“Actuar con el cuerpo” – Laboratorio performático basado en escenas clave de BLANK The Series.

“Moda, Identidad y Empoderamiento” – Espacio de diálogo con diseñadores de Millions Max, la firma de Faye.

“Fanart al instante” – Ilustración colectiva en tiempo real.

Uno de los momentos más aplaudidos fue el taller dictado por Sophie Khoo, quien guió a participantes en ejercicios de escucha, creación visual y memoria emocional.

Los talleres no solo permitieron explorar la figura de Faye desde distintos ángulos, sino que también generaron donaciones directas para la campaña de la biblioteca, convirtiendo cada acto creativo en un aporte significativo.

DE DÓNDE VIENE

Nacida como Supaporn Malisorn, Faye se alzó como Miss Grand Thailand 2016, y poco después consolidó su lugar en la industria como actriz de Channel 7, con papeles en Massaya, Talay Luang y Marn Bang Jai. Pero el reconocimiento real llegó cuando, dejando atrás el molde tradicional, dio un paso audaz al protagonizar BLANK The Series (2024), una producción GL que rompió esquemas. Su interpretación de Khun Nueng, una mujer de poder, amor contenido y emociones complejas, la hizo referente dentro y fuera de Tailandia.

In an industry shaped by fleeting images and viral trends, there are figures who rise above stardom—those who inspire creation, reflection, and community. One of them is Faye Peraya.

Actress, entrepreneur, former beauty queen, a key figure in Thailand’s GL movement, and more recently, a cultural symbol of artistic independence. Faye doesn’t just perform—she forges emotional bonds that move thousands. What happened this past weekend in Bangkok made that crystal clear.

THE EVENT THAT SPEAKS FOR HER #justyouforyouexhibition

On June 21 and 22, the Flor Wook Pack building in Bangkok transformed into a living gallery. A collective of Thai and international fans—without backing from studios or production companies—organized #JustYouForYouExhibition, an art showcase inspired by the figure, work, and aura of Faye Peraya. With support from sponsors, volunteers, and a global community, they achieved the unthinkable: uniting contemporary art, emotional memory, and collective gratitude.

But the most powerful aspect was the charitable mission behind it: raising funds to build a public library in Faye’s hometown in Ubon Ratchathani province. Every ticket, every artwork sold, every artistic gesture had one goal—to turn love into a tangible legacy for future generations.

Curatorial and Creative Direction

The curatorial and creative direction was led by Reiko Kang, a producer and art promoter specializing in cultural networks across Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Her vision shaped the sensory and emotional journey that allowed Faye’s persona to be interpreted through art.

Sophie Khoo, a renowned cultural manager with extensive experience in art and gender projects throughout Southeast Asia, played a key role as a collaborator in the planning and served as facilitator of one of the exhibition’s central workshops.

The event was 100% independently organized, led primarily by women and active members of the international fandom—a powerful testament to the transformative force of affective communities.

WHERE SHE COMES FROM

Born Supaporn Malisorn, Faye rose to fame as Miss Grand Thailand 2016 and soon after secured her place in the industry as a Channel 7 actress, with roles in Massaya, Talay Luang, and Marn Bang Jai. But true recognition came when she broke the mold and took a bold step by starring in BLANK The Series (2024), a GL production that shattered conventions. Her portrayal of Khun Nueng—a woman of power, restrained love, and complex emotions—made her a reference point both in and beyond Thailand.

The series swept awards—including “Best Couple of the Year” alongside co-star Yoko Apasra—and sparked a movement around lesbian representation from a female, adult, and realistic perspective.

In 2025, Faye marks a turning point: she parts ways with her TV network, launches her own agency Fabel Entertainment, unveils a fashion brand (Millions Max), and prepares to open a beauty salon in Bangkok. More than a businesswoman, she has become the curator of her own narrative.

She’s also expanding internationally: fan meetings in Bangkok and Manila, a standout appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, and features in fashion campaigns that prioritize diversity, elegance, and empowerment.

#JustYouForYouExhibition wasn’t a celebration of status—it was a celebration of essence and action. The event—artistic, intimate, and emotional—was an open letter: “Thank you for being you.” But it was also a concrete act of commitment: turning art into infrastructure for the education of children and youth.
